Meet Our New Director of Special Events: Sophia Best!
We are so thrilled to officially announce that Sophia Best has been named Director of Special Events here at Tap the Coast!
If you’ve attended any of our cocktail classes recently, chances are you’ve already seen Sophia in action — welcoming guests, leading instruction, and setting the tone for a fantastic evening. She's been a part of our team serving as a bartender at events for over a year now, and throughout that time, she’s continually shown passion, professionalism, and the kind of infectious energy that turns every event into something truly memorable.
As our cocktail class series continues to grow, Sophia has naturally stepped into a leadership role — not only coordinating logistics behind the scenes but also curating experiences that reflect everything we stand for at Tap the Coast: creativity, connection, and (of course) incredible cocktails.
About Sophia
Originally from Arizona, Sophia made the move to Florida a few years ago and quickly fell in love with the coastal charm of the Gulf Coast. She’s currently a student at Pensacola State College, balancing her education with her growing responsibilities at Tap the Coast — and doing it all with grace and grit.
Her background in hospitality and natural flair for planning made her a perfect fit from day one. Whether she's styling a beautiful bar setup, brainstorming new class themes, or making sure every guest leaves with a smile, Sophia brings warmth, professionalism, and a fresh perspective to everything she does.
